[Systems update from IT]
A years-long project to improve customer service for CVTC’s continuing education customers has borne fruit with the launch and subsequent expansion of the Lumens software.
Lumens was launched in April 2017 to offer online registration for CVTC continuing education students in both open enrollment seminars and contract training. The primary areas of focus include Emergency Services and Business & Industry. In June 2017, the contract module was launched and added high school academies, transcripted credits, and the Department of Corrections as additional areas of focus. Lumens works as an extension of Ellucian Banner and information from Lumens integrates directly to Banner to keep both systems in sync.
– CVTC is the first and only college in the nation that has integrated Lumens and Banner
– 55 staff members use Lumens (not including faculty or instructors)
– 5,725 students/community members are in the system
– 324 companies are actively using Lumens to register their employees into trainings
The heavy usage shows how well Lumens is working for people and companies using CVTC’s continuing education programs. Since the Lumens launch, Lumens has handled 3,125 registrations for 427 non-credit continuing education classes, resulting in the collection of approximately $389,000 in cash receipts.
Employers have utilized the system though 363 individual training contracts for 1,189 contract classes, enrolling 4,609 employees.
Augusoft®, Inc. develops and maintains Lumens® – the first SaaS enrollment management system designed for the continuing education industry. More than 6.5 million students have registered for continuing education classes using Lumens. Visit https://augusoft.net to see Lumens in action.
