Blackboard

When the Lumens class is submitted with Blackboard selected for the LMS Delivery, the class is created in Blackboard.

When the Lumens class is submitted, with Blackboard selected for the LMS Delivery, the class is created in Blackboard. 

When an instructor is assigned to an LMS Delivery = Blackboard class in Lumens, the integration will check if the instructor exists in Blackboard. If the instructor exists in Blackboard, they will be enrolled in the Blackboard class as faculty. If the instructor does not exist in Blackboard, they will be created and then enrolled in the Blackboard class as faculty.  

If an instructor is removed from a class in Lumens they will be disabled for that class in Blackboard. 

When a student is registered into an LMS Delivery = Blackboard class in Lumens, the integration will check if the student exists in Blackboard. If the student exists in Blackboard, they will be enrolled in the Blackboard class as a student. If the student does not exist in Blackboard, they will be created and then enrolled in the Blackboard class as a student. 

During a Lumens transfer scenario, if the ‘Transfer In’ class has LMS Delivery = Blackboard, the integration will treat it as any other registration.  

The roster allows for staff with access to view if a student has successfully integrated to Blackboard and to resend if they have not.  

If a Lumens class does not have Blackboard indicated for LMS delivery, registrations occur, and then the class is updated for LMS Delivery = Blackboard, the students and instructor will integrate to Blackboard at the time of submission of the class in Lumens.  

If a student is cancelled from a class in Lumens with LMS Delivery = Blackboard, the integration will disable the student in the Blackboard class.  

During a Lumens transfer scenario, if the ‘Transfer Out’ class has LMS Delivery = Blackboard, the integration will treat it as any other cancellation.

If a registration transaction is voided in Lumens for a class with LMS Delivery = Blackboard, the integration will remove the student from the Blackboard class. 

While in Lumens, students can go to their current registration, then click on “go to class”. This will bring them to the login screen of their Learning Management System. 

Canvas

Courses are created in Canvas and the Canvas ID is associated with the Lumens Class to link the two together.

Courses are created in Canvas and the Canvas Course ID is associated with the Lumens Class to link the two. Feature enhancement in development: Option to create Canvas Course when Lumens class is submitted as LMS Delivery = Instructure Canvas. 

When an instructor is assigned to an LMS Delivery = Instructure Canvas class in Lumens, the integration will check if the instructor exists in Canvas. If the instructor exists in Canvas, they will be enrolled in the Canvas class as faculty. If the instructor does not exist in Canvas, they will be created and then enrolled in the Canvas class as faculty.  

If an instructor is removed from a class in Lumens they will be removed from that class in Canvas. 

When a student is registered into an LMS Delivery = Instructure Canvas class in Lumens, the integration will check if the student exists in Canvas. If the student exists in Canvas, they will be enrolled in the Canvas class as a student. If the student does not exist in Canvas, they will be created and then enrolled in the Canvas class as a student. 

For existing enrolled students in Lumens when the Lumens class is updated with the Canvas Course ID, those students will be integrated over at the time of submission in Lumens.  

During a Lumens transfer scenario, if the ‘Transfer In’ class has LMS Delivery = Instructure Canvas, the integration will treat it as any other registration.

D2L Brightspace

When the Lumens class is submitted with D2L Brightspace selected for the LMS Delivery, the class is created in Brightspace. 

When the Lumens class is submitted with D2L Brightspace selected for the LMS Delivery, the class is created in Brightspace. For all classes, even though an existing “Course Offering” can be used, unique “course section” will be created inside that offering for the Lumens class.  

When an instructor is assigned to an LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace class in Lumens, the integration will check if the instructor exists in Brightspace. If the instructor exists, they will be enrolled in the Brightspace class as faculty. If the instructor does not exist in Brightspace, they will be created and then enrolled in the Brightspace class as faculty. 

NOTE: Instructors are not removed when removing them from the Lumens class. Currently the instructor needs to be manually removed in Brightspace.  

When a student is registered into an LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace class in Lumens, the integration will check if the student exists in Brightspace. If the student exists, they will be enrolled in the Brightspace class as a student. If the student does not exist in Brightspace, they will be created and then enrolled in the Brightspace class as a student. 

During a Lumens transfer scenario, if the ‘Transfer In’ class has LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace, the integration will treat it as any other registration.  

If a Lumens class does not have D2L Brightspace indicated for LMS delivery, and if registrations occur, then the class is updated for LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace. The students will integrate to Brightspace at the time of submission of the class in Lumens.  

If a student is cancelled from a class in Lumens with LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace, the integration will disable the student in the Brightspace class.  

During a Lumens transfer scenario, if the ‘Transfer Out’ class has LMS Delivery = D2L Brightspace, the integration will treat it as any other cancellation.
