Congratulations to the latest customer to go live with Lumens

Minneapolis, Minn. – November 12, 2018 – Congratulations to the latest customers who went live with their Lumens sites in quarter three: School District 43 Coquitlam, Iowa Valley Community College, College of Eastern Idaho, and Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning.

School District 43 Coquitlam (SD43) is located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. SD43 offers classes for high school credit, literacy and language proficiencies and enrichment classes. Offering just under 1000 classes a year devised into multiple terms or schedules, SD43 was taking manual registrations via a fee-associated credit card processor or walk-in registrants. The program was looking forward to being able to take advantage of the better services for the students including offering student accounts, improvements to the wait list process, evaluations and leveraging all the data to make informed decisions. SD43 has already proven a model advocate sharing their success at the recently held 2018 Annual Lumens User Summit, in Savannah, Georgia.

Iowa Valley Community College services four separate counties in central Iowa. Iowa Valley Continuing Education hosts a myriad of classes including skills training, certification, summer youth and basic education. Iowa Valley went live with Lumens this past July. They offer a little over a thousand classes a term and prior to Lumens were managing online registrations with the help of an online credit card and echeck processing tool, and all contract training and third party payments were handled manually by staff. They were looking forward to a user-friendly platform that manages all their customer needs. Iowa Valley is one of the growing number of Iowa schools to join the Lumens family.

Located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is the College of Eastern Idaho – Workforce Training and Community Education. The program offers everything from career development to enrichment classes and is always looking for new ways to service the community with new classes and programs. Idaho Falls went live with Lumens this August. About 2 months after going live, they added on a contract training module. Prior to Lumens, Eastern Idaho was processing 1-2,000 registrations per term via phone, walk-in, mail or email and entering the data manually into Colleague. Having online registration is already a big improvement for the program. They are anxious to analyze the data readily available in Lumens to make key program decisions.

Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning located in Bloomington, Indiana and is part of a multi-campus program that offers approximately 100 classes per term. Ivy Tech struggled with some internal hurdles in initially, but was perseverant and is now taking registrations for their non-credit program. Prior to Lumens they were manually managing an online form and feeding it into Ellucian Banner, which also left a 24-48 hour gap between registration request, payment and confirmation. By implementing Lumens, Ivy Tech hopes to shift staff focus away from administrative tasks and focus on growing the program.
