Lumens 4.6 upgrade released An updated version of Augusoft Lumens was released in December 2004. An extensive period of customer research, IT development and testing was used to create this upgrade. Read more > Augusoft celebrates ten years in business This month, Augusoft celebrated 10 years of building and maintaining Internet-based business management systems for lifelong learning programs across the country. Read more > Lumens users meeting at national LERN conference Augusoft held its first Lumens users meeting at the international LERN conference in Toronto, Canada. Augusoft President and CEO Cem Erdem provided the future direction and vision of the company and collected feedback from the users. One common request was to enable users to interact with one another so they could network and exchange ideas/tips. Look for this request within the upcoming “Version 5.0 Release” in early June, 2005. Lumens users also expressed a desire to meet periodically to exchange ideas regarding Lumens and national program trends. Erdem committed to setting up several regional meetings in 2005, in addition to the National Lumens Users Meeting, which will be held November of 2005 in New Orleans, La. Augusoft launches new branding campaign - LLMS is now Lumens Augusoft is pleased to announce the launch of its new branding campaign to promote the Lifelong Learning Management System (LLMS) as Lumens. Defined as "degrees of brightness," Lumens captures the continuous improvements and ongoing support Augusoft provides to lifelong learning. Read more > Lumens version 5.0 development begins The Augusoft development team, in coordination with Product Manager Chad Losee, have begun building version 5.0 of the Lumens Lifelong Learning Management System. This newest version of Augusoft flagship product is in the definition phase, where Losee and the development team have started to assemble product improvement suggestions gathered from the Augusoft customer support and sales teams. Augusoft moves into new office In early January, Augusoft moved into its new office space in Golden Valley. The move, spurred by the continued growth and development of Augusoft Lumens software system, was part of a long-term growth strategy that allows Augusoft to accomodate more development, support and administrative staff to better serve its customers. Giving back to the community - World Relief World Relief Ministries (http://www.worldrelief.org) provides a wide array of services to those who are in need within the international community by helping to equip churches minister to those who are suffering. Read more > Lumens to be exhibited at 30th Annual LERN conference Augusoft and the Learning Resources Network (LERN) are exhibiting Lumens at the LERN conference from December 4-6, 2003. The LERN conference, celebrating its 30th year, showcases new developments in lifelong learning and offers practical, how-to technical assistance and information to lifelong learning professionals. This year LERN presenter Greg Marsello will give two demonstrations of Lumens during the conference to cover the most important features of Lumens and give attendees an in-depth look at the recently released Lumens version 4.0. Augusoft develops contract training and CEU modules for Lumens The Augusoft development and operations teams started development on two new advanced features for inclusion in a future release of Lumens Pro. The contract training module and the CEU's will be included in version 5.0 of Lumens Pro to be released in summer 2004, but the features will be used individually by customers starting early next year. The planning phases of the contract training module began over the summer and were created in response to customer calls for a contract training module. Read more > Augusoft offers grants to lifelong learning programs Cem Erdem, President and CEO of Augusoft was worried that many lifelong learning organizations had to forego the purchase of crucial learning management tools because their education budgets could not cover the cost. Erdem decided that the best way to provide these programs with the power of Web-based program management was to create a one-time grant that could be applied towards the purchase of Lumens. Read more > Augusoft releases Lumens Version 4.0, begins work on version 4.5 After an intensive four month period of development and testing, Version 4.0 of Augusoft Lumens software was released in May to a small group of customers for beta testing. The full version of Lumens version 4.0 will be released to the public on June 15 and will combine recently developed enhancements with the first general public release of the Room Management module. The release of version 4.0 marks a change in the Lumens development cycle: as Version 4.0 winds down, planning is underway for Version 4.5. Read more > Lumens version 4.0 is coming in May 2003 In response to feature requests from current and prospective customers, Augusoft's Portland development team has begun development on version 4.0 of the Lumens Pro system. Developers Robin Fladebo, Steve Lebahn and Donaleen Kohn have been hard at work improving Lumens feature set since mid-January. Version 4.0 is scheduled to be released to current customers in March or April 2003. Read more > Lumens Room Management Module released A new tool has been created to help with the difficult task of scheduling rooms for use in a lifelong learning program. With the addition of its room management module, Augusoft' has added facilities management functionality to Lumens, its innovative Web-based learning management system. The Lumens room management module was designed to be completely integrated into current and future releases of Lumens. It functions alongside the critical core functions of the system - and integrates fully into the class creation process. Read more > Augusoft releases Lumens version 3.5 The newest release of Lumens version 3.5 builds on the advanced feature set of version 3.0, which was released in May 2002. Development on version 3.5 of Augusoft's flagship software began in October 2002 and was finished shortly after. Read more > Lumens Standard premiered at LERN annual conference In an effort to make lifelong learning management software more accessible to the continuing education market, Augusoft has released Lumens Standard. Cem Erdem, President and CEO of Augusoft, introduced his company's new product at the LERN (Learning Resource Network) annual conference on December 6, 2002. Lumens Standard was created in response to the demand for a low-cost, Web-based solution for lifelong learning business management. Read more > |
