Augusoft, Inc., leader in the non-credit education software U.S. market, releases another major product initiative to the company’s product suite, Lumens, specifically for the Canadian market. Augusoft worked with Edmonton Public Schools Metro Continuing Education and strategic partner Learning Resources Network (LERN) to adapt Lumens for continuing education and continuing studies programs within Canada. New Third Party Payment Feature in Development
Lumens Customers Participate in the Business Analysis Stage
Minneapolis– September 1, 2009

Augusoft’s Product Manager Tim Scott started facilitating a series of Product Advisory Board (PAB) sessions for the new Lumens third-party payment feature in development. This board is composed of fifteen Lumens customers who preview screenshots and participate in online discussions with the development team. The features will be released with the Lumens v7.0 upgrade. The new third-party payment feature gives staff the ability to handle payments made by another entity on behalf of the learner. “It is easy to see how enthusiastic customer involvement contributes to the innovative design and business use of the features that expand Lumens functionality,” stated Samantha Stierna, Augusoft’s Marketing Communications Specialist who also participates in the PAB sessions. Augusoft Expands Marketing Team With New Research Hire
Minneapolis– August 3, 2009

Augusoft announces a new hire to the marketing department, Tracy Karth as Associate Marketing Analyst effective August 3, 2009. Tracy will work with the marketing team to conduct, tabulate and report on various companywide market research projects, evaluating industry, regional and marketplace changes.

Tracy initially joined the company in May 2008 while finishing her education at University of St. Thomas. This spring she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in marketing management and business communications and graduated cum laude.

Obama Proposes $12 Billion Get Earmarked for Community College
Minneapolis– July 14, 2009

Cem Erdem, President and CEO of Augusoft, Inc., reaches out to community college program managers with the following statement  after President Obama’s speech on the education stimulus plan.

This week at Macomb Community College, President Obama proposed spending $12 billion over 10 years to improve programs, courses, and facilities at two-year institutions and to propel Community College programs' role in educating communities and the workforce.

President Obama also announced "about $9 billion would go toward creating two grant programs for two-year campuses and states to test promising programs and practices, including those designed to improve student learning and training, increase completion rates, and better track student progress“ as stated in the Chronicle of Higher Education on Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
